Houston sits at the center of the U.S. Gulf Coast refining and petrochemical corridor, one of the largest concentrations of crude processing and export infrastructure in the world. That density of pipelines, refineries, and marine terminals is what makes Gulf Coast tank storage valuable to traders: product can move from refinery to tank to vessel with minimal handling, and blending or segregation can happen in the same footprint.
